What are the levels of membership in the SEW SAVVY SAVINGS™ loyalty program?
SEW SAVVY SAVINGS™ has two levels of membership:
- SEW SAVVY SAVINGS™ Member – Any customer who signs up is automatically enrolled in this level of membership.
- SEW SAVVY SAVINGS ™ Elite Member – Customers who earn more than 5,000 “lifetime” points over the course of their membership are entitled to exclusive benefits and offers.
When do I start earning rewards points?
You’ll start earning points after your card is activated at a Viking Sewing Gallery or Ultimate Sewing Place store. Only purchases made after this point will be associated with your account.
When are rewards points issued?
Points are placed in Escrow on the day of your purchase to account for returns. Points stay in Escrow for 5-7 days and then they are moved to the Earned Points bucket where they will earn awards.
How do I earn SEW SAVVY SAVINGS™ rewards points?
Earn points with every purchase at a Viking Sewing Gallery or Ultimate Sewing Place store.
Earn 1 point for every $1 you spend on accessories.
Earn 1 point for every $2 you spend on sewing machines.
How do I earn my SEW SAVVY SAVINGS™ awards dollars?
Each month at the beginning of the month, award certificates will be issued based on your rewards points balance and the following point threshold values produce awards. The system uses points to “purchase” the awards. The points used to purchase awards will move from your Earned Points bucket into the Lifetime Points bucket where they will no longer earn awards. The system will generate multiple awards if applicable with your Earned Point values.
200 points = $10 certificate/award
500 points = $25 certificate/award
1000 points = $40 certificate/award
2500 points = $60 certificate/award
5000 points = $75 certificate/award
7000 points = $100 certificate/award
What happens to my unused points at the end of the month?
Unused points will roll over into the next month’s balance. For example, if you earn 550 points in one month, you will receive a $25 award certificate for 500 points, and 50 points will roll over into the next month’s balance.
How do I spend my SEW SAVVY SAVINGS™ awards dollars?
These awards are tied electronically to your account with Viking Sewing Gallery stores, so you will not need a physical certificate. They are used just like cash as a tender in the transaction.
Is there anything I cannot purchase using my awards?
Awards cannot be used for the following items; sewing machines or sergers, layaway payments, special orders, Service Maintenance Agreements, or gift certificates.
How will I know when I have earned a SEW SAVVY SAVINGS™ award certificate?
Each month that your rewards points balance reaches 200 points or more, you will receive an email stating “Your Rewards are Ready.” This email will tell you the amount of the award certificate and its expiration date. If you have not spent your awards half-way through the month, we will send a reminder email to alert you that your awards are going to expire. If you did not provide an email address at sign up, you can check your rewards points balance at any Viking Sewing Gallery or Ultimate Sewing Place store, or log in to check your points here.
When do award certificates expire?
Award certificates expire one (1) month after the date of issue. Expiration dates will be noted on every certificate and will be emailed to you.
Do purchases made with SEW SAVVY SAVINGS™ awards earn points too?
Any purchase made using awards from the program do not earn points.
What is the SEW SAVVY SAVINGS™ Birthday Award?
Just for being born, we’ll give you a $5 award to be used on any purchase the month of your birthday!
How do I become a Lifetime Elite Member?
When you have earned more than 5,000 “lifetime” points over the course of your membership, you will qualify for Elite membership status. Every rewards point you earn counts toward your lifetime points. It is important to note that your rewards points balance will go up and down throughout your membership as your points are converted to award certificates, but every rewards point you have earned to date has been counted toward your lifetime total.
What happens to my points when I return an item or trade-in my machine for a different model?
The appropriate amount of points are subtracted from your Earned Points bucket for any item return or trade-in. Your points value may go into a negative value if you do not have enough Earned Points to account for the return.
